The federal government reportedly is working out a new plan for the privatization of the cash-struck national flag carrier.
After all failure to privatise the airline it, in the latest attempt, the government now plans to sell the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to either Qatar or Abu Dhabi under a government-to-government agreement.
Applications for expressions of interest are also being accepted until November 30 in regard to the matter.

It is relevant to note here that the only interested party in PIA real estate developer Blue World City had already turned down to raise its bid of Rs 10 Billion for buying over a majority share in PIA.
Later, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa itself expressed interest in acquiring the airline and Punjab Government was also said to be thinking of acquiring the national flag carrier.
