Tecno has launched its budget-friendly Pop 9 smartphone in India; the device boasts impressive features for just $80. While first announced in August and then modified for different markets Pop 9 is now rocking a MediaTek Helio G50 chipset in India.
Design and Display
The entry-level line has a new version of design with Tecno Pop 9. There's an inclusion of punch-hole design to the LCD of 6.67 inch HD+. That is done in the animations and notifications borrowed from Apple Dynamic Island, but the rear carries a lot from the design of iPhone 15 and is thus minimalist, which houses but one rear sensor.

Internals and Software
The Indian version of the Tecno Pop 9 comes with the MediaTek Helio G50 chipset under the hood, which provides better performance than the Unisoc T615 in its African counterpart. The device comes with 3 GB of RAM expandable to 6GB through Tecno Memory Fusion feature and 64GB of internal storage.
Camera
Pop 9 sports a 13 MP rear camera which is equipped with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) for decent shooting for daily activities. A 8MP front camera is provided for selfies and video calls. Located on the punch-hole design.
Battery and Pricing
Powering the Tecno Pop 9 is a 5000 MAH battery and 15W fast charging priced at just INR 6,699 ($80) the device provides excellent value for money. It will be available for purchase starting November 26 on Amazon India.
