Bluesky Surges to 24 Million Users, Gathering Speed in X Rival Competition X users grow even angrier with the site, and the rest just flood into alternative short-form social network channels like Bluesky.

Recently, the decentralized social network that has drawn much attention achieved a remarkable milestone at 24 million users. It has gone up and is registering more than 700 million posts, plus 3.1 billion likes so far on the network.

Bluesky rapid rise is driven by big numbers such as US representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who became the first bluesky user to reach 1 million followers. Other celebrities and influencers like Stephen King and Guillermo del Toro and journalists like Rachel Maddow and Don Lemon have also joined the bluesky bandwagon adding to its growing popularity.

Where Meta threads made headlines with explosive growth earlier this year, its momentum has since slowed. Threads has 275 million monthly active users whereas X leads still with around 611 million. As bluesky continues to gain attention, the question is if the platform can keep up such pace and carve a niche for itself in the competitive landscape of social media.

With its unique decentralized model and rapidly increasing popularity, Bluesky is positioning itself as a serious contender in the race to replace X, sparking discussions on whether it can achieve sustained success. The platform's ability to keep users engaged and attract new ones will be key in determining if Bluesky can continue its upward trajectory.
