Samsung is launching the much-awaited Galaxy S25 series on January 22 and crucial details of the Galaxy S25 Ultra have leaked from a credible source. The flagship device is going to boast several improvements from its predecessor. It will bring faster performance, faster wireless charging, and more premium configurations. Here's everything you need to know about the Galaxy S25 Ultra based on recent leaks.
Design and Display
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is said to retain the premium design language of its predecessor the Galaxy S24 Ultra, introducing minor refinements. This device is claimed to measure 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm, and weigh in at 219g. It would thus be marginally taller and narrower, but also thinner and lighter than its S24 Ultra sibling.
The phone will be equipped with a Dynamic AMOLED 2X LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate for silky smooth scrolling and vivid colors. With a peak brightness of 2600 nits and HDR10+ support, the screen will guarantee great outdoor visibility and fantastic color accuracy.
Internals and Software
Samsung will power the Galaxy S25 Ultra with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset to ensure that the device runs efficiently and at a high performance level across all regions. This version of the phone will be launching in three variants with 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, 16 GB of RAM with 512 GB of storage, and 16 GB RAM with a large 1 TB of storage.
That is to say, RAM on the two high-end versions is much greater than its predecessors. As for software, it should have One UI 6.1 running on top of Android 15 with AI features and performance enhancements.
Battery and Charging
The Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature the same old 45W wired charging but faster 25W wireless charging up from 15W in the S24 Ultra. Samsung will soon reveal the exact battery capacity which is likely to be almost identical to the S24 Ultra impressive 5000 mAh battery. All these will be officially confirmed at the launch on January 22.
