Samsung fixes Galaxy S25 camera issues with new update

Samsung Galaxy S25 series started shipping earlier this month but some early users have reported camera issues particularly banding artifacts in photos. Reports from Reddit and Samsung Community indicate that this issue appears on all three models affecting long-exposure and Night mode shots.

Banding Issues and User Complaints

Described as visible unnatural stripes the issue is most noticeable in Night Mode photos where smooth color transitions such as at sunrise or sunset instead display as horizontal or vertical bands. Several users have shared camera samples showing these artifacts particularly in low-light conditions.

Fortunately other camera modes function as expected leading many to believe that Samsung post-processing algorithms for long-exposure photography are causing the issue.

Samsung’s Response and Software Fix

While the problem does not seem widespread Samsung has acknowledge it stating that it is aware of a limited number of cases Samsung also confirmed that a software fix has been deployed to address the issue.

The tech giant has rolled out the update in South Korea and plans to release it globally soon. The company advises users experiencing banding in photos to keep their devices updated.
