Xiaomi's 15 Ultra looks a lot like a Leica in new leaks
Xiaomi is gearing up to unveil the 15 Ultra in China later this month with February 26 as the rumored date. Shortly after the device is expected to debut globally at MWC in early March. Meanwhile leaked renders allegedly from Xiaomi offer a closer look at the device refined design and upgraded camera system.
Similar Design
At first glance Xiaomi 15 Ultra stands out with it is nearly bezel-less display featuring quad micro-curves on all sides. Unlike its predecessors the new design creates a smoother more immersive viewing experience. A small hole-punch cutout at the top houses the selfie camera ensuring a clean and modern look. Xiaomi has positioned the power and volume buttons on the right side for easy access. While the frame remains mostly flat it gently curves towards the edges making it easier to hold.
Camera Upgrades
Xiaomi has made major improvements to the camera system. The leaked renders showcase a large camera bump featuring four advanced sensors co-engineered with Leica. The 50 MP main sensor 50 MP ultrawide lens and 50 MP short-range telephoto camera promise versatile photography options. However what truly stands out is the 200 MP periscope lens similar to the vivo X100 Ultra and X200 Pro. Users can expect sharper zoom capabilities and enhanced low-light performance.
Flagship-Level Performance
Xiaomi has equipped the 15 Ultra with Qualcomm latest Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. Altough Xiaomi has not confirmed RAM and storage options yet the device will likely features high RAM and storage capacity to keep up with the demands of power users and mobile photographs.
With the official launch approaching more leaks will likely surface in the coming days. Given Xiaomi strong presence at MWC the global unveiling in March should provide final details on pricing and availability.
